LILTDY ch.1

Lessons in LILTDY chapter 1,
“leaders need to be willing to shift both long- and short-term goals without clinging to the past”, “seize every opportunity for decisive action, and refuse to be discouraged when some efforts prove unsuccessful”, “maintain a balance between their own needs and the needs of the teem, and concentrate on engaging the whole organization”, “ambiguity and uncertainty are inevitable”, “need to direct negative energy toward activities that divert people’s attention from their problems and harness this energy for positive results”.

It sure is an ideal if every leader did have these factors. What was interesting to me is that according to this leadership vision, the leader are able to monitor their selves and the people around them. I occasionally wonder what is qualified to be a leader, but I always feel trust when the leader in my community or the leader-like person is concerned to the people who tend to be quiet and not express themselves.

I tried thinking of what the key opportunities for action. I tend to feel the motivation when I’m thrilled or attracted to the things I will do. Although, there are times that any motivation will accompany. I wonder what real good leaders will do, like when they are desperate. In the first lesson in this chapter, it said that change the goal without clinging to the past. It is certain that it needs to be changed when the situation isn’t improving. I heard that Mc Donalds in Japan is having a hard time getting customers, what will the executives do? What make the leaders keep on moving? I heard that the new concept wasn’t doing well, and families nearly tend to go to Mn Donalds these days. Although, considering the fact that people change goals if they find a better one, so it must be tough to grasp the situation and decide what they need to do.
